Steve graduated from St. Francis University with a BS in Accounting. He was a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity and served as treasurer for Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity his senior year.
Upon graduation, Steve worked as a staff accountant in the real estate and telecommunication industries before joining the family business in 1991, as controller. He earned his property, casualty, life, health and FINRA Series 7 Securities Licenses. Steve helped manage the office for many years, including accounting and licensing. He now focuses on personal financial planning and small business retirement plans, as well as life, home and auto sales.
Steve was raised and lived in the Four Corners area of Silver Spring, Maryland for 50 years. He and his wife Lourdes, along with their children Maggie (22), Blair (20), and Stevie J. (10) moved to Grasonville, on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, in June 2017. He will divide his time between our Beltsville and Centreville, Maryland offices.
Prior to their move, Steve spent more than 35 years as a coach and volunteer in many capacities at St. Bernadette’s and the Silver Spring Saints youth football program, where he served as director for 15 years, retiring at the end of 2016. He particularly enjoyed coaching CYO girls’ basketball for many years at St. B’s! Steve’s hobbies include golfing, biking, hiking, reading and traveling to their Mountaintop, Pennsylvania cottage.
Steve is a past president (2012-2013) and past treasurer (2014-2016) of the Rotary Club of College Park. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Prince George’s County Salvation Army and is a member and past president of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA) Prince George’s County.
